Suzie Holt -
Suzie Holt was proud to run as an Independent candidate for Groom in the last Federal election, finishing second on two party preferred. I have continued to advocate for my community.
After growing up in Brisbane and studying social work, I worked primarily in regional Queensland, including Charters Towers, Toowoomba and the broader Darling Downs region in the health, mental health, and aged-care sectors.
My husband Miles and I have raised our girls, Lucy and Jemima, in Toowoomba. I have seen that our region needs better Federal representation. Our research and community conversations across the entire electorate of Groom show that our community values integrity, life experience, local representation and trust in science. They want their representative to value them and the region more than party lines and donor interests.
