Greetings to our busy people

As mentioned last week,  Rotary has been invited by Triple M to be involved in Toowoomba`s
Mayoral Carols by Candlelight . I would like to invite one of our members to join a committee which
promotes this event. Please give this some thought.

Bill Cowell and I have interviewed a very bright young lady Heidi Sheridan who has enrolled in the
Science School in Brisbane. Her letter of introduction will be circulated at next week's breakfast meeting. Our board has
agreed to contribute $1000 to help her with the costs.

I have been very satisfied at the way that members have contributed to last weeks club assembly.
Thanks to everyone, as we look to have greater communications about the many avenues of service
we are involved in. I would welcome any comments.

A huge welcome to our two new members Molinda Sopom and Tiffany Hardy. I look forward to
some formal introduction in the near future and to getting to know more about these two ladies.
Thanks to Bruce and willing volunteers for a successful sausage sizzle at Bunnings raising $1100 - next
sizzle is on Sun 6/11.

Sip and Paint fundraiser, courtesy of Annette Coward, seems to be a winner as tickets are being
taken up with great haste.

Word of the week ENDEAVOUR. When I look at what Cook has achieved with his ENDEAVOUR, a 105
ft heap of wood and sails I am inspired to ENDEAVOUR, with the knowledge and facilities we have in
this day and age.
