Dear members of our unique rotary club,

I have been in rotary for near on 34 years . I have dug aggies, built buildings, laid pavers, painted houses, made gardens, cooked dinners, sizzled
sausages, and have been a lone sergeant many times . But this job is the most scary , the most
challenging ,the most prestigious one that you have entrusted me with. Thank you !!!

I feel very honoured and out of my depth . I was raised to be a bushie, and still am, even though a
city dweller . As you know I don’t usually have much to say, don’t ask questions and mind my own
business. But this is about to change.  WHY?  Because I rejoice in the friendship of each one of you,
because I value each one of you for your many skills and dedication to RCTGC because we have a
unique club and a unique atmosphere because I want each one of you to enjoy a fulfilling year of
comradery and meaningful participation in rotary. Each one of you is an
important tooth in the Rotary International wheel

This job is impossible without a great deal of help. I have asked each one of you for this help .
thank you for your response.

You may expect me to do more talking, ask more questions, ask you to do things. If I ask you to do
something, hopefully you will say yes . If the answer is negative, no questions will be asked. WHY?
Because we all have busy lives !!!! Our attention is called upon from many sectors of life. I ask
only one thing that the sector of life that you give to rotary ---that you give it with utmost
enthusiasm and energy 100 %

I promise you in the best tradition of rotary that I will give my 100 % to make sure that each one of
us has the best rotary year of our lives.

Harlaxton State School 125-year celebrations

We are underway organising catering for the Harlaxton School 125-year BBQ lunch on Saturday the 22nd of August. We will be providing Beef and Chicken Burgers and drinks for minimal cost to help them out.

Could you please save the date if you are available and consider helping out on the day.

We will need to cover from 9.30 am to 2pm to allow for preparation and clean up. We might be able to split it into 2 shifts if we can get the numbers.
