What a pleasure to be part of another action packed and fun meeting on Friday . Guest speaker David Janetski with many insights and food for thought . Thanks to Damian again for excellent speakers and setting up our calendar. Welcome guests also enjoyed the meeting. Thanks to members who bring guests. Keep up the good work!
As you have noticed we have had area governor Wendy Byron at our meetings recently . I am excited to reveal that Wendy has chosen to become a member of Toowoomba Garden City . Sadly Wendy`s father has recently passed away . Our thoughts and prayers are with her at this time .
Once a month Wendy chairs a meeting of club presidents from Toowoomba and other close areas . This is called Wilkinson Cluster . I am meeting other presidents and gaining valuable information of other clubs activities . Also a good source of ideas to bring back .
Special congratulations to Blair who received his Friends of Rotary badge last meeting . Thank you Blair for being part of our meetings . We love to see you .
Service committee working overtime in organising BBQ at Harlaxton school and unloading 300 blankets that Maree and I brought on pallets from Brisbane . Maree has recipients of these necessities all arranged . Great effort !
Fundraising committee met during our meeting under the guidance of Bruce to discuss future fundraising ideas .

I am always on the lookout for promoting Rotary information and activities more widely . Please consider this idea whenever we have activities of note . For example - Ask me about Rotary badges ( I will order some ) Banners and information when opportunities arise . TV news item for our hearing testing . Guest speakers to carry rotary message .
Word of the week ENERGY ,defined as the ability to do work or cause a change Does this not seem like Rotary club of Toowoomba Garden City . We work to maximise the effect of our available ENERGY ,abundant amongst our members .
