Welcome to Rotary Toowoomba Garden City happenings

Thanks to all who participated in Friday's action packed meeting.Thanks to all of our nine guests and
those members who invited them to enjoy our meeting atmosphere . If you haven`t brought along a
guest, don’t forget to invite someone to share what we have.

Welcome to Pauline our new Friend of Rotary . An enthusiastic and frequent attendee at our
meetings I see signs of this concept being an important part of our club .

Plenty to do
 Aggie dig 8am Saturday . If you havn`t experienced one of our Aggie digs you will be in for a
great surprise
 Hearing testing will resume in new school term. Some extra hands would speed up this
process. I have found it interesting and rewarding to have contact with some amazing kids
from all different backgrounds .

Word of the week is ELECTRICITY. Thanks to those who learnt how to harness this ENERGY. Let

Changeover 2026

Good Samaritan Mock Interviews

 
16th October is the date set for the mock job interviews for the Students at Good Samaritan College.
 
The concept is to carry out job interviews with the students to provide them with some feedback to improve their confidence and skills with job applications / interviews.
 
We will doing this in partnership with members from Toowoomba Metro Club.
 
If you are interested in helping with this project please contact Fiona or Rob and they can share further details.
We will need 5 or 6 members for this.

Sip & Paint Fundraiser

Annette Coward has kindly offered to host a fun afternoon of creative play to make a small painting you are proud to take home. Time: 2-5 pm Location: 19 Kara View Ct, Rangeville Date: Saturday 17 October Limited numbers - 15 people Cost $70 each Included- all painting materials, nibbles and drinks, lucky door prize. Annette has also offered to donate one of her paintings for a raffle. October Social Event

Spring Family Picnic Lunch

Date: Sun 18th October 2026

Venue: Peacehaven Botanic Park (56 Kuhls Road, Highfields)

Time: 12 Noon

What to Bring: Picnic lunch or something for the BBQ, drinks, fold up chairs or a picnic rug, sunscreen and a hat.

 

Invite your family and firends to join us to relax, have a bite to eat and enjoy fellowship as you immerse yourself in this stunning park.

There will be a messenger poll the week prior to confirm numbers.

Club AGM

The AGM for the Roatry Club of Toowoomba Garden City has been scheduled to be held at our regular club meeting on the 4th December. One month out from, the AGM Lara will call for nominations for board position. If you have your hear set on taking on a role next year, please contact President Elect Paul.
